Oggi 20 novembre è la Giornata Internazionale dei Diritti dei Bambini, in ricordo della data in cui venne firmata la Convenzione ONU che sanciva i diritti dell’infanzia e dell’adolescenza.

I rapporti sulle condizioni di vita dei bambini in Italia e nel mondo riflettono un quadro con molte carenze e ancora tanti progetti da promuovere. La Convenzione ONU difende i diritti alla vita e della qualità della vita dei bambini. E’ un impegno sottoscritto da 194 Paesi, ma che risuona come appello a chiunque abbia a che fare con i bambini per difendere il diritto alla partecipazione, alla non discriminazione, alla salute, all’istruzione.

Era il 1985 quando Michael Jackson scrisse ‘We are the wold’, una canzone interpretata con un gruppo di famosi cantanti per raccogliere fondi a sostegno di progetti in Africa. Il testo di questa canzone è molto attuale e invita a fare ognuno qualcosa e dare una possibilità in più alla vita. Lo ascoltiamo oggi come colonna sonora della Giornata dei diritti dei bambini.
