Una canzoncina in inglese per bambini che stanno imparando a contare, anzi che stanno imparando le sottrazioni! Si tratta di ‘Ten Green Bottles Hanging on the Wall’.

I bambini sono sempre contenti di imparare a contare e si sfidano a chi riesce a raggiungere il numero più alto. Appena iniziano ad andare a scuola scoprono che esiste il conto alla rovescia e qui ogni tanto qualcuno inciampa. Imparare a contare da 10 a 1 è più complicato che contare da 1 a 10, ma è necessario per capire come funzionano le sottrazioni. Cercando una canzoncina sui numeri ho trovato questa nursery rhyme ispirata a dieci bottiglie verdi che stanno in equilibrio sopra un muretto, finché accidentalmente ne cade una e non sono più dieci ma nove. Ne cade un’altra e il gioco continua.
