Come ormai saprete, amo andare alla ricerca di canzoncine in inglese tratte dai film preferiti di mia figlia. Mi piace che abbiano un bel significato, prima di tutto, ma anche che siano “belle storie” da raccontare, con testi semplici da seguire magari con l’aiuto di un video.

Oggi vi propongo You can fly, tratta dal film Peter Pan. Un classico che la mia bambina ama alla follia e che ormai abbiamo visto in tutte le sue forme: libro, tv, teatro, marionette e forse mi sfugge ancora qualcosa.

Di questa canzone adoro la spinta a credere nei propri sogni, per quanto difficili da realizzare possano essere. Il linguaggio è semplice e richiama concetti noti anche ai più piccoli (le renne, il Natale, la neve ma anche parole e brevi frasi che è sempre bene avere a mente: When there’s a smile in your heart, there’s no better time to start).
